About the ministry
Teacher Matthew Lee Ministries is Christ’s Heartbeat’s teaching daughter ministry, run by our founder Matthew Lee.
This ministry precedes the founding of CHMI and was founded in September 2016 when Matthew – led by the Spirit of the Lord – began his YouTube channel. Since its inception, there have been almost 1000 encouraging messages posted on the YouTube channel.
In July 2020, during the covid-19 pandemic, the Lord placed it on Matthew’s heart to begin a daily devotional video series, to encourage people during the challenging times. God gave him the title “From heaven at seven” for the series. From 2020-2022 Matthew Produced two full seasons of the series, totaling over 700 videos, which can be found on the Teacher Matthew Lee Facebook page and YouTube channel. After successfully completing two seasons of From Heaven at Seven, He began a weekly devotional series called the “Weekly Word of Encouragement “, which completed its second season in mid 2025.
However, the ministry has also expanded to include a variety of additional facets. CHMI have developed their own unique Soul Winning Workshop, called “Code RED” where they train up entire congregations in living a lifestyle of evangelism and how to be a more effective witness to those around us.
Teacher Matthew also works in partnership with Christian Family Church International. Since 2022 Matthew has been serving alongside their missions department to train and equip the CFCI pastors and congregations across the continent of Africa.
Matthew also preaches at various churches around the world, teaches pastors and leaders crucial church growth principles, and lectures some of the foundational courses and the 1st-3rd year subjects at various CFCI Bible College campuses.
In 2025 Matthew helped compile, establish and launch CFCI’s Leadership academy, under the guidance of his mentor – Dr Andre Wilmans. To date he continues his work for the Leadership Academy, training and equipping trainers. These trainers then reteach the Leadership Academy content to their congregations, in some of the most remote and unreached parts of the world. CFC Celebration 2025...

Every year, Christian Family Church International hold their annual celebration conference - celebrating another year of successful ministry. Earlier this month, we celebrated 46 years - glory to God!
.
Every celebration, Ap Theo and Dr Bev prayerfully choose a theme and local and international speakers for the event. They also invite their spiritual sons and daughters from all around the world, to come and receive a fresh impartation of the Word and the power of God.
.
After having attended these celebrations since 2016, it seems every year is better than the previous - praise God! This year we were blessed with life-changing messages from many anointed men and women of God, and the power of God showed up mightily, with many accompanying signs and miracles.
.
As much as I enjoy the meetings and the Word we receive, one of the other things that I always enjoy is getting to spend time with our CFCI brothers and sisters from around the world. The photos in this post are just some of the many photos we took while spending time with our CFCI family...

From a Sunday afternoon braai at our house with the national overseers, to coffee with some of the Leadership Academy proctors, to taking some of the pregnant couples for their gender-reveal scans, to photos taken around the church with the pastors, as well as some lovely photos of my wife and I.
.
After celebration, Monique and I had the privilege of hosting the overseers from Uganda and Kenya for a week. During this time, we took the them on a short trip to visit CFCI Eswatini, for a day into the Kruger National Park, as well as to the two-day ARC Launch conference.
.
We had such an incredible time at CFC Celebration 2025, and look forward to next year's conference!

On Sunday the 14th of September, I had the privilege of preaching at CFC Pretoria East, where I shared my message "Guided to go, anointed to speak"

There was such an anointing in the service that we just soaked in the presence of the Lord for the first 10 minutes of my message - after all, you can't teach on being guided by the Holy Spirit if you aren't obedient to what He wants to do during the service! The message I shared focused on helping the congregation understand how the Holy Spirit guides us and anoints us, to be effective witnesses for Christ to the lost and broken world around us...

On Saturday the 13th of September I had the privilege to speak in a breakout session, at the Pentecostal Holiness Church Gauteng's annual conference.

I was asked to speak on missions and church planting, by a brother I met through Judea Harvest. So I shared an informative message titled "SENT TO PLANT, PLANTED TO SEND - The cycle of sending, planting, and multiplying".
.
I look forward to hearing testimonies of how the young church planters I addressed have applied the principles in their upcoming church plants!
