PROJECT CORNERSTONE WELFARE
Weak made strong by the Savior's love
About the ministry
Project Cornerstone has been established under the ministry covering and oversight of Christ’s Heartbeat Ministries International, which is a ministry organisation that is founded by Matthew Lee.
The welfare predates their association with CHMI, although then it was established merely as a feeding scheme. It initially began in June 2016, and came under CHMI’s covering in August 2017.
“You get good charity work and God charity work… Anyone can count the seeds from an apple, but only God can count all that apples that come from one seed.” So in order to maximize the welfare’s fruitfulness, CHMI worked with the team to make it a Christian-orientated welfare. Therefore the welfare will not only meet the physical needs of the individuals, but also the spiritual – to not only do good work, but to also advance the Kingdom of God at the same time.
Christ’s Heartbeat is an equipping ministry, and that’s exactly what we’re doing with Project Cornerstone – we’re working with the team to provide resources and equip them for the ministry aspects of the welfare. We also keep them accountable, especially with regards to doctrine etc.
CHMI have hand-picked Kaveer, Anne and Charles to be the ones to minister during the outreaches, as they are filled with the Word and on-fire for Jesus. Our founder, Matthew Lee, also ministers at some of the outreaches, when in town.
Kaveer also books, organizes and co-ordinates all of our outreaches. His dedication and zeal for doing the Lord’s work has allowed him to be such a blessing to this outreach program! His team of volunteers also serve diligently and assist him with the outreaches.
The lunch packs, soups and other foods provided on the welfare’s outreaches are graciously provided by Richard & Anne Lee, and the hard-working and committed staff members at the Royal Hotel Ladysmith.
